Frequently Asked Questions
What is your postage and packaging cost?
At the moment we only ship to the UK and we send everything ‘Royal Mail Tracked 48 hrs with signature’. If you would like to return anything it is at your own expense.
What are your dispatch times?
If an item is in stock, I aim to have your order posted out within 3-5 business working days. At busy times it may take longer, so it’s worth checking with me first before ordering if you are under time pressure to receive something.
What are your products made from?
All my products are made from 100% Lambswool in an array of beautifully naturally dyed and mill dyed colours. They are knitted on a hand powered domestic knitting machine.
I have noticed your baby blankets are not a perfect rectangular shape, why is this?
Everything is knitted by me and then has a light felting process applied which gives all my products a lovely soft hand feel. The felting process changes the shape of the blankets slightly, I have tried to capture this in the photos of each blanket.
How do I care for my knitted products?
All items should be hand washed in warm water. Due to the nature of the fine lambswool I use, care does need to be taken when handling whilst wearing jewellery. Pilling may occur with constant use. Pilling is not a defect, it is a result of friction on a soft, natural fibre such as lambswool. Please purchase bearing this in mind.
If something is out of stock, will you make more?
Please do email me to find out and if I can, I will make more.
Do you take on private commissions?
I would be happy to talk to you about a particular commission you have in mind. For more imformation please email me on kate@kate-box.co.uk or use the contact form on the website.
Are your product measurements exact?
The dimensions given are only approximate due to the stretchy nature of the fabric.
If you have any further questions, please do contact me at kate@kate-box.co.uk or using the contact form.
